How do you deal with failure?
Failure is impossible to avoid, and we shouldn't want to. Failure is the key to achieve everything you ever wanted to achieve and we should treat it as such. Failure isn't an attack on you, it's a friendly indication of where you need to focus to get to what you want.

    how do I know what sens I should use? I got my sens on 0.16 1600dpi when I optimized it while playing for a year, but I was switching a lot and even after some sensitivity finder methods it says that 0.16 1600dpi is the optimal one. HOWEVER I can aim nearly the same sometimes even better with a higher sens 0.18 1600dpi but I dont know if I should stay on the lower one or a completely new one.

    hey I've been watching your content for a good bit now and I really enjoy it! I have one question that I'd appreciate some elaboration on, and thats this. How can one believe they are going to achieve something, while simultaneously being aware that the outcome is not in their control, and for them to not be outcome oriented

    • @ddkesports
      @ddkesports 25 дней назад

      It's more a belief in your capacity to achieve. As you say, there's a lot you can't control. However, there is a path for everyone to improve their skill and adopt the practices and characteristics of an elite player. Even if you haven't won something yet or hit your goal, success is a lagging indicator, ie. If you do all the right things, you increase the likelihood of success in your chosen direction significantly. So our belief is coming from a mixture of knowing we have the capacity, and knowing that what we are pursuing is so valuable to us, we are willing to change ourselves and experience hardship to meet that personal value. The belief is in no way a guarantee--as you say, a guarantee can't exist. This is the same for everything in life, though. There can come a point where you aren't spiritually fulfilled by how things are progressing, at which point you are learning that your values might be changing or for other reasons different values might take more of a priority which may also lead one to step away: relationships, school, work, etc. The alternative to being outcome oriented is to be process oriented. I'll make a vid on this topic btw, it's on the docket! I'll elaborate more on this point in that. I'll try to make it soon!

    when i asked on the aimlabs dc what playlist is good to improve, but isnt 2h long. they send me a playlist thats 1h40min. I should do this daily. after like 1-2 weeks i actually got worse, and doing 2h aimtraining without even going ingame pissed me off hard. Now im confused.

    • @Marbled427
      @Marbled427 14 дней назад

      if you only play aim trainers without playing your game of choice you would probably get worse at everything thats not aim. Aim training is best used in conjunction with playing games. If you overtrain you can lose focus and build bad habits as well.

    I've been through a wave a confidence. Initially I was always confident and I grew fast because of it but I had a fear of failure that held me back. Then I got to immortal over time, took a break and when i came back i thought maybe im not going to be as good as i was and then of course my self doubt made me worse and then depended on temporary fake confidence that helped for a bit and then now im back to being confident again. i love this video because it made me realize this is somewhat normal. i genuinely thought there was something wrong with me and was engulfed in the imposter syndrome for a long time. ive done great things in the game and believed it was just chance or someone i use to be. (i have 1700 hours in aim training and some reason i thought i was just bad). Now i swing with the belief i already won the gunfight and im getting ready for the next person to swing. Also ive said this in some other videos, how is DDK not a big youtuber? Nobody else makes this level of detail in their videos for gaming, hes the best ive ever found.

    Great point on confidence being an emergent property of all the other things you do within a given realm. When you've proven to yourself that you can achieve a thing (hopefully consistently), you can get over the 'imposter syndrome' that saps a lot of people's confidence in their abilities. I also like the point on the 'fake it til you make it' jump start of confidence being useful to get over an unfamiliar hurdle and into the execution phase that you're actually comfortable with. Benign self-deception seems like a good skill to have in approaching unique experiences. It's like a placebo pill to get you over the initial barrier to entry.

    I'm 2 hours in, but wanted to chime in and say wonderful podcasts. It shed a lot of light in my own experiences with competing in esports and helped me consider things I never thought about before like the diminishing returns for top tier players. When Kabir first asserted the piano thing, I was a bit skeptical because I learned piano with each hand first and then combined them. However, I understood his point when he finished and can see how important it is to emphasize similar conditions to create quality practice.
